Fun Children’s Clothing

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Modern society revolves around concepts such as beauty and originality, ideals that have been embraced and implemented by fashion designers worldwide. Childrens clothing designs and fashions change just like they do for adults, so it’s vital to keep up so your child is looking excellent when he or she goes out. When a child is a newborn, the apparel is basically the same and hasn’t changed a fantastic deal over the years. After that, you can really start to have fun with dressing up your child. There are two vital parts to following fashion updates with childrens clothing. One is you want your small boy or girl’s wardrobe to be cute and up to date, and the other is to watch for any possible recalls.

As the children’s clothing industry was growing in popularity, more and more fashion designers chose to focus their work exclusively on designing clothes for young children and babies. Soon, it became more and more diversified, children’s clothes gaining a lot in style and originality. Supermarkets and clothing stores started to fill up with ingenious and colorful clothing for children, lots of shops even specializing in exclusively selling children’s clothes. In contrast to yesterday’s children’s clothes – poorly designed and, let’s face it, quite dull – today’s children’s clothes are ingenious and appealing, stimulating their imagination and building their sense of aesthetics and beauty. Ranging from small boys’ suits and small girls’ accessorized dresses to cartoon-character costumes and even superhero outfits, children’s clothes are nowadays made to adequately satisfy the needs and desires of the very young.

Shopping for Children’s Clothing is Fun and you might want to try sale shopping. Hitting the sales ensures that you get quality, stylish clothing for your child that is within your budget. The best time for sale shopping is around August, when stores lower their prices to target back to school shoppers. You can also find excellent sales towards the middle or end of each season, since most shoppers tend to shop before or at the beginning of the season. You can also keep an eye on your local paper to let you know when specific sales will be going on. Seen through the perspective of their prices in general, children’s clothes have lately become increasingly more affordable. While a few years ago parents had to spend a small fortune to offer their children excellent-quality articles of clothing, nowadays they can buy appropriate clothes for considerably smaller sums of money.

Apart from having affordable prices and an extensive range, children’s clothing stores also allow customers to buy their desired products online, thus helping them save time and effort. Buying clothing that is a small huge will ensure that the child won’t grow out of it too soon. If you shop without your child, keep in mind the store’s individual return policies, just in case it is too huge or small. And if you get stressed out, remember-your child will appreciate the fantastic clothing you find for them!

Summer is always an incredible time for kiddos. Three full months full of endless possibilities, boundless energy, and rays of sunshine beckoning marathon play dates. As the temperatures rise, so does the emphasis on comfy and breezy pieces that are simple care and versatile. Here’s a rundown of some of the hottest trends hitting children’s fashion this summer.

Bold Shoes: Whether they are lime green checkerboard sneakers or cherry red loafers, bold colors and bold patterns are in. They make the ultimate fashion accessory for small ones and can instantly perk up and otherwise dull outfit. A fantastic example is leopard slip on sneakers with a red knit dress for baby girls or bright green loafers with khakis shorts and a retro plaid button up for baby boys.

Sporty Style: With summer camp in full swing, kids are dressed to impress in sporty styles that emphasize athletic cuts and innovative fabrics. Racer back necklines on dresses for girls and stretch fabrics with UV protection are top picks. Boys delight in graphic printed board shorts made from quick dry fabrics, screen printed tanks, and lightweight cargo pants.

Denim Disasters: Surely a relief to moms everywhere, distressed denim is back in style. The more stains and frays the better. Top designers are introducing lightweight versions of top styles and ensuring they have plenty of air conditioning with busted out knees and holes near pockets. A touch of acid wash and cleverly placed patches are welcome additions as well.

Gold Glitz: As kids spend their days frolicking in the sun their bronzed skin becomes a badge of summertime success. Gold embellishments are the perfect way to pay tribute to the joys of sun worship. A couple of standout pieces are toddler t-shirts with gold embellishments, linen dresses with a golden shimmer, and oversized gold buttons on sports blazers for boys. Gold accessories such as shimmering sunglasses, gold toned shoes, and gold trimmed hair accessories also make fantastic choices.

Minimalist Nautical: While nautical themes are always fantastic for children’s fashions, this summer’s trends show a slight twist on tradition. Instead of obvious references to the sea such as pairing anchors, rope, and boats the choices are more subtle. For example, breezy dresses with assortments of red, blue and white flowers are a well loved choice. For boys, the emphasis is on just one focal nautical piece, such as a batik anchor on a sandblasted tee.

Neon Flash: Kids go retro with pops of neon accessories for a right 80’s flashback moment. Fun examples of this trend include lime green sunglasses, hot pink shoelaces, bright orange belts, and day glow yellow hair bows. A small flash packs a punch so don’t overload, neon accessories are usually the safest bet. This trend works well for both girls and boys so be sure to have fun with it.

As you welcome summer fun this year, be sure to add a couple of these must have staples to your baby clothes shopping list. These children’s fashion trends are sure to land your small ones on the best dressed list for summer fun.

Do not worry. In this guide of buying baby’s first shoes I will share a few tips to make the baby shoes shopping experience simpler.

What baby shoes should you buy? In my opinion, baby shoes should have flat, flexible, and non-slip soles. The sole should be thin enough to allow the foot to flex naturally. Soft-soled baby shoes are comfortable and benefit to the growing of your baby.

The shoe’s uppers should be made of a light weight and breathable material. There should be plenty of wiggle room for the toes. I suggest that there is extra space between the huge toe and the end of the shoe. Baby shoes should firmly secure to the foot, and have no heel elevation.

The causes of acne can be complex, ranging from hormone imbalance to poor diet to poor skin care.

From a skin care point of view the answer is simple; keep skin as clean as possible, free from bacteria, excess sebum (oil) and dead skin cells that would otherwise clog pores, cause infection and lead to outbreaks

Acne is not caused by unclean skin. But keeping skin clean is an vital part of its control; but, we need to be thinking a small deeper than simple washing. Exfoliation is the next step.

Exfoliation simply means removing the surface layer (epidermis) of the skin to expose the new cells formed in the lower dermis. This shedding action has the effect of unclogging pores and removing imperfections. whilst at the same time, toning and brightening the skin by increasing circulation.

Exfoliation (or microdermabrasion) with a microfiber peel cloth is not only a safe and highly effective method of removing excess oil, dirt and dead skin cells, there are other benefits too, such as scar reduction and the increased production of collagen( a main connective tissue protein).

Microdermabrasion peel cloths are made up of ultra fine microfibers. Tiny fibres, woven together to form a unique cloth of microscopic wedge shaped filaments. Each filament has a nylon micro core that acts to lift and trap oil, dirt and debris, holding it like a magnet away from the skin surface. The result is exceptionally clean skin.

It is vital to note that not all microfibers are suitable for skin use. Some have been developed for the domestic market. Be sure to use only cosmetic grade microfiber, (80% polyester,20% polyamide) that has been dermatologicaly tested and is therefore safe for use on even the most sensitive skins.

These unique fibres are very fine, each fiber no thicker than one hundredth the width of a human hair, with fibers finer than silk…The results are quite incredible.

Micro peel cloths are not a daily treatment, and although results are immediately visible, the trick is not to overdo it. It’s a process, and the recommended treatment is 1-3 minuets every 7 to 10 days, depending on skin sensitivity.

As mentioned earlier, although not perhaps the root of acne, bacteria and clogged pores are a primary causes for concern. The processes discussed here ensure we are not promoting an environment in which bacteria can flourish.

Microdermabrasion peel cloths, with there deep cleansing exfoliating properties provide a perfect means for keeping pores clear of microbes… but why stop there?

If bacteria are the foe, then a natural product with powerful antibacterial properties could be just what’s needed…

Honey …are you aware of its incredible healing properties?

Honey has outstanding antibiotic and antibacterial properties, in fact most micro organisms cannot exist within it. It’s a real kryptonite for bacteria!

Honey has many supporters and is currently even being trailed in the fight against MRSA. But this is not a new tale. This miracle of nature has been used as a treatment for wounds and skin ailments for over 2000 years. The ancient Egyptians had over 500 uses for healing honey, and today this inexpensive home treatment is just waiting for you to learn it!

Of the many types of honey and honey products available, raw honey is considered to be the best in terms of antibacterial content, and of the raw honeys without doubt the most fascinating from our point of view is “MANUKA “.

Manuka honey as the name suggests is made from the flowers of the manuka bush (from New Zealand) and has been shown to contain a very high degree of healing properties apart from hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), common to all honey.

Manuka honey seems to contain an additional antimicrobial healing agent, termed UMF (unique manuka factor); it has proved to be effective against all infectious organisms, and is the recommended form to use.

As you can see the topical use of honey helps maintain a positive skin environment and makes a perfect partner for your home microdermabrasion treatment.

Here are some simple recipes for you to try…Remembering that although nothing is guaranteed to work for everyone in every case, honey is really safe and natural and therefore well worth trying. (If you can’t get manuka then simply use the honey available)… You may be pleasantly surprised by the simple substance sitting on you kitchen shelf!

Raw honey Mask. Open the lid, grab a dollop, and smear it on! Leave on your skin for 20-30 minuets and rinse of with warm water. Can be used straight after micro peel cloth treatment.

Honey and Cinnamon Mask. Mix 3tbsp of honey and 1 tea spoon of cinnamon powder into a paste. Apply as a spot treatment and leave on overnight. Repeat daily for two weeks…

Yogurt Honey and Oat Mask. Mix together 1 table spoon of honey 2tbsp natural yogurt and 1tbsp of oats. Apply to skin and allow to dry.

Honey and Apple Mask. Oily skin…Blend 1 apple with 3table spoons of Manuka Honey in a blender until you has a smooth paste. Apply to your skin and leave for 20 minuets. (Refrigerate remainder and use within 3 days).

Honey, Egg and Glycerin Firming Mask. Wisk together 1 egg white 1tbsp of honey and 1 tea spoon of glycerin (available at any chemist). Add enough plain flour to make a paste. Apply to skin leave for 10-15 minuets.

The Two Part Treatment. 1. Mix together ½ tbsp of honey, 2 sprinkles of salt and oregano leaves add 1 capful of vinegar and ½ a finger of toothpaste. Gently massage this blend into clean washed skin and leave or 20- 30 minuets. 2. Remove with warm water and after 10 minuets apply plain toothpaste to acne affected areas and leave on overnight.

Honey and Almond Cleansing Mask. Mix 1tbsp of almond oil with 2tbsp of honey. If you have oily skin add a few drops of lemon juice (start with just a few drops) apply to clean skin and leave for 30 minuets. Can be used as a daily treatment. Keep refrigerated

These acne fighting recipes are simple and inexpensive and while honey can be slightly messy to use, the benefits will speak for themselves. …

Try the combination of healing honey and a home microdermabrasion cloth…you could be well on your way to fabulous skin!

Urban Baby Clothes

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Are you a cool dresser and do you want your baby to look the same? Urban baby clothes are fantastic for making your new baby look stylish and trendy when you are out shopping, but they are also functional clothes for all seasons. Individual pieces can be place together to make a really trendy look whether you are in a city mall or playing in the park.

I always reckon of urban clothing as utility wear, yet flexible enough to be worn in any situation. Babies are really tough on their clothes, you may place bibs on them but they still manage to spread the mess everywhere. The fabric of all baby clothes should be soft and capable of withstanding numerous washes.

Urban baby clothes may be fashionable but they are adaptable. Wearing layers is a real advantage when kitting your baby out. When it is cold, a trendy T-shirt over a long sleeves is ideal, if the weather warms up, then it is simple to strip one off. If it turns really cold, add a hoodie and your babe will be snug.

Urban clothes are hard wearing. Reckon of the stylish but practical, casual look that you wear around the city and transfer the thought to your baby. Cargo trousers will look as trendy on your baby as they do on you, stylish sneakers and boots are available in baby sizes. Hats, gloves and scarves will end the outfit.

If you live in a small town rather than a city, you may find small choice in your local shops, but online there are a number of fantastic stores stocking a wide variety of urban outfits and accessories to go with them.

Online auctions are a excellent place to look for clothing bargains. As excellent quality urban clothes are tough, children outgrow them so quickly they do not wear out. Selling them online means parents can make a small money to reinvest in a new outfit, while the buyer gets them at a fraction of the shop price. Look out for bundles of clothes, you may not like them all, but you can always place any you don’t want back into the auction.

Of course there is no need to stop at clothes. Really cool bibs, bottles and fancy diapers bags are all available to complete the image. There are some fantastic looking sling carriers for your small tot too, so shop around and turn your baby out as stylish as yourself!

Someone has rightly said that clothes are not just clothes. They form an integral part of a person’s personality and tell a lot about their nature and qualities. It is therefore vital that you wear clean and bright clothes to make a strong impression on others. Be it young kids who make their clothes a real mess while playing, painting, clay making and partaking in other creative activities; or adults who get stains on their clothes while performing their daily activities at their home or work place, one cannot rule out the existence of stains from their clothes. And, stain removal is not an simple task. So, using the best quality laundry detergents is essential to fight all kinds of stains and make your clothes look and feel new. Every stain requires a different treatment and that is why there are various kinds of laundry detergents available in the market. To start with, there are detergents with enzymes and those without them. Enzymes are a type of natural chemicals used in detergents to treat hard stains. Detergents without enzymes are less effective at dealing with harsh and hard stains. For an effective wash, you can use a liquid laundry detergent as they are simpler to measure. They dissolve quickly and easily in water and make your hand washing task convenient. Traditional powders are also effective in cleaning stains. So, choose one that meets your washing needs. While looking for detergent, you will also come across high suds detergents and low suds ones. The high suds detergents produce lots of lather and low suds detergents produce less foam levels. It is advisable to go for low suds detergents, as they are not harmful for your washing machine. While choosing your laundry detergent, you should also consider the fabric of your clothes. If your garments are made from delicate fabrics such as wool and silk, then don’t use a detergent that contains bleach or enzymes. In such a case, you can get soft detergents that are especially made for delicate clothes. Such detergents are mild and do not contain any harsh chemicals, bleach, or enzymes. Always buy a mild detergent that contains natural chemicals. Also, if you have a baby in the house, ensure that the laundry detergent you buy is safe for washing baby clothes. It should not cause any type of allergies and at the same time, should smell excellent. By considering things such as addition of the right quantity of stain removal detergent, proper sorting and loading of clothes, water temperature, proper drying and following the care instructions on the clothes, you can not only remove the stains effectively and impress others with white sparkling clothes but also make your washing experience fun.

New Parent’s Guide to Baby Clothes

Monday, April 26th, 2010

The most frustrating part about picking baby apparel is that the transition from infant to toddler happens so quick, it’s as if it occurs overnight. You need to reckon about the coming months and prepare that closet for the first year. Most infant clothes are sized by months. In their first year of life, babies will go through three sets of everything: 0 to 3 months,

3 to 6 months, and 6 to 12 months.

The three “S” factors to consider when choosing baby clothes are Sensible, Sleep wear, and Showing off. You will want your baby to have some sensible clothes in his wardrobe, things that you will be able to tolerate getting a few mashed carrots on. Some simple onesies and a few amusing baby t shirts fit this category. Black onesies are a excellent choice for their uniqueness, gender neutrality, and stain stealthiness. Black rock and roll onesies fit nicely into the showing off category as well. If you want your baby to be a rock star, that is.

Sleep wear is vital because infants spend a lot of time sleeping (if you’re lucky). Putting her in some comfortable baby pajamas could be the key to success when dealing with a fussy baby that won’t sleep. Also consider the ease of changing the diaper. It’s a lot simpler to just unsnap a onesie or pajama bottom to get at that stinky diaper than it is to fully disrobe the baby.

Showing off your gorgeous baby is one of the best aspects of being a baby’s parent. When you go out into the world, you’ll certainly want some unique clothes for baby. Your baby has his own personality, and it’s your job as a parent to let that personality shine! If you have some of those unique baby gifts from the baby shower, this is the time to use them! Dressing your infant to the nines can be the most hard facet of baby fashion, simply because the baby will always soon need a fresh diaper, whether you’re at the mall or a cocktail party, the child will poop at the least convenient time and place. Choose apparel that makes a diaper change simple.

One final thought on baby clothes is photography. Your baby will grow so quick, some of those cute baby shower gifts may not even get used! When you have your child dressed up, take some pictures! You’ve got to reckon about the future, when he’s a teenager and wearing punk rock t shirts and the days of cute baby onesies are a distant memory. You’ll want to pull out some of those ancient pictures and reminisce. Also, consider where your child might be headed. What if he landed on the set of Saturday Night Live in 20 years? Wouldn’t it be fantastic if you had pictures of him as an infant in a amusing Boob Man onesie, making a face for the camera? What if your baby girl ends up on American Idol in years to come? Wouldn’t it be brilliant if you could pull out a baby picture of her in a Rock Star onesie?

Reckon about the possibilities…
