One debate is going on to whether skin products containing all natural ingredients are better than others containing synthetic ingredients. With both camps of this issue taking a stand, and publishing report after report; It is the consumer who usually becomes confused in the maze of marketing promises and supposedly ‘guaranteed’ results claims.
Are skin care and sun protection products with natural ingredients better?
This seems to be the main question, literally. Skin care product manufacturers are spending lots of money researching everything about skin protection in an attempt to not only gain a competitive edge, but to grab more of consumers’ business.
With marketing departments working overtime, suppliers and manufacturers of skin care products are doing their bit to cleverly combine sales phrases, brilliant packaging and testimonials from ‘experts’ in the field of natural product research and development. The results of these research are expensive sun protection moisturizers, sunscreens, cleansers, shampoos, masks, and cosmetics that claim to do miracles on your skin, safely, and most importantly, naturally.
But are these claims and promises right?
The federal government has yet to define guidelines and regulations governing use of the term, ‘natural’. That means marketers can use the term any way they choose, irregardless of the type of ingredients used in their skin products or the manufacturing processes used to produce those kin or sun protection products.
A skin care product might contain natural products like aloe or vitamin E, what you’re not being told is that the processes used to get these components may utilize synthetic materials. And even once natural ingredients are extracted, they’re probably combined with synthetic products such as preservatives and stabilizing agents.
One of the largest risks involved with using natural ingredients is the potential for an allergic reaction. Lots of people have food allergies, so putting products containing plants or plant extracts on their skin may increase the risks of an allergic reaction. And even if an allergic reaction doesn’t occur, natural ingredients often cause skin irritation and/or sensitivity.
Focus more of your attention on putting natural ingredients into your mouth and not onto your skin. One thing everyone can agree on is that eating a diet loaded with antioxidants and vitamins is extremely beneficial to healthy skin. The body is very efficient at processing natural foods and using the blood stream to transport these nutrients to the skin.
Find a skin care or sun protection product that you trust and which works well with your skin type. It is always better to protect your skin using sun protection swimwear or UV protective clothing, since no chemicals are needed to be used on the skin. We all wear some form of clothing, so why not use these that offers UPF50+ UV cover which blocks over 97.5% of the sun’s UV radiation.

Thrush; Natural Causes and Natural Cures for Thrush

Before we look at natural cures for thrush let’s look at natural causes. We will then examine common natural cures for thrush in light of these natural causes.

Common Natural Causes of Thrush

Common Natural Cures for Thrush

Successful natural cures for thrush involve multiple solutions. Some suggest yogurt as one of the natural cures for thrush, others may suggest vinegar or salt baths as natural cures for thrush (1 part vinegar or salt to 5 parts water). But using just one of these ‘natural cures for thrush’ is not effective. Natural cures for thrush should address the causes and symptoms of a thrush infection. Below are some of the most well loved natural cures of thrush

#1 Natural Cures of Thrush – Practice safe sex.

Yes you can ‘catch’ Candida from your partner, wear a condom to minimise the risk.

#2 Natural Cures of Thrush – Reduce sugar intake.

Candida feeds off sugar. Cut your sugar intake and starve Candida of food.

#3 Natural Cures of Thrush – Less harsh soaps and tight fitting clothes.

Harsh soaps can cause a flare up of thrush and wearing tight fitting clothes locks in moisture allowing Candida to flourish.

#4 Natural Cures of Thrush – Increase the level of ‘excellent bacteria’ in your system.

Some yogurts have ‘excellent bacteria’ in them so are technically natural cures for thrush. But a certain way to get massive amounts of ‘excellent bacteria’ into your system is to take a probiotic supplement.

#5 Natural Cures of Thrush – Alkalize your body system.

Candida thrives in an acidic body. If radical dietary change isn’t one of the natural cures for thrush for your then take an alkalizing supplement.

#6 Natural Cures of Thrush – Start a course of homeopathic treatment

FDA approved homeopathic treatments that combine a number of effective homeopathic treatments are brilliant natural cures for thrush. They really eliminate the Candida infection and help minimise the symptoms of thrush.

Most of these cleaners are things you may already have at home and in most cases provide a safe non-toxic alternative to bleach or ammonia based cleaners. Note the precautions mentioned where applicable. Once you start using these natural products, you’ll never need or want to buy those expensive cleaners again.1. VinegarThis is probably one of the most commonly used natural cleaner, and with so many uses, you’ll want to fill a spray bottle to keep handy as well as keep an extra gallon under the sink, just for cleaning. Use it as you would an all-purpose cleaner by mixing 1 part water to 1 part vinegar and use it to clean most areas of your home. It cleans, disinfects and deodorizes safely and effectively. In the bathroom it works fantastic in the bathtub, toilet, sink, floor and countertops. Try using pure vinegar in the toilet to get rid of rings. It works fantastic tackling soap scum and hard water stains. For tough jobs, soak a cloth in pure vinegar and apply to the stain for an hour or so, then wipe. In the kitchen use vinegar for the all the appliances, countertops, and floor. Soak hardened cleaning brushes in vinegar overnight to soften the bristles. In the laundry room, vinegar works fantastic as a natural fabric softener; just add 1/2 cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle instead of store bought fabric softener. It also breaks down the detergent more effectively, reducing soap spotting. This is a real perk for family members with sensitive skin. Precautions: Vinegar is an acid and if not diluted effectively can eat away at the grout in your tile. It should also never be used on marble surfaces. 2. Lemon JuiceLemon juice is also used to dissolve soap scum and mineral deposits from hard water. It does a fantastic job of bright brass and copper. It works well as a disinfectant for a wood cutting board. Simply cut a lemon in half and wipe it on the wood. Combine lemon juice with vinegar and baking soda to make a cleaning paste. Mix 1 cup of olive oil with 1/2 cup lemon juice to make a furniture polish for hardwood. Take a used lemon peel and place it through the garbage disposal to freshen the drain.3. Baking Soda Baking soda works fantastic as a gentle abrasive cleanser that won’t hurt delicate or coated surfaces. It is probably most well-known for its deodorizing properties – open a box and place it in the refrigerator or freezer to absorb odors. This really works fantastic anywhere to fight smells including sprinkling on the carpet before you vacuum. It also leaves a nice scent if you mix with lavender flowers.4. Hot SauceSimply rub it on dulled copper, rinse with water and polish with a soft cloth. Precautions: Ensure you keep your hands away from your eyes, and rinse the object well.5. Olive Oil Olive oil has wonderful re-hydrating properties and works fantastic on dried-out wood (as long as it was originally treated with an oil end). Simply spread a thin coat of oil on the wood and buff. 6. White WineDouse a red wine stain with white wine, and blot with a clean cloth to absorb. 7. SaltSalt also works well to absorb red wine (depends on which is handier, the white wine or the salt). Just sprinkle on the stain, let it dry up and vacuum. Salt is also fantastic for cleaning up grease spills in ovens or burners. While the oven is still warm, sprinkle salt on the spill. If it has completely dried, then moisten with water before applying the salt. Once the oven cools, scrape away the spill and wipe clean. 8. CornmealCornmeal works well to soak up grease. Simply cover a fresh grease stain with cornmeal, let it sit for a few hours and vacuum. 9. MayonnaiseThis tasty spread can be used for more than tuna sandwiches. The next time you spill water on your wood furniture, leaving a water mark, apply a generous part of mayonnaise and let it sit for a few hours. Wipe it away and allow to dry.10. Borax (sodium borate)Borax is a natural substance that kills mold and bacteria, and makes a fantastic alternative to bleach. It also deodorizes and breaks down detergent to improve its cleaning power. Try soaking ancient towels or gym clothes in a solution of borax and water to make them smell fresh again.Precaution: Borax can be toxic to small children and pets, keep well out of reach.

John Muir (1838-1914) the fantastic American naturalist said “the forests of America, but slighted by man, must have been a fantastic delight to God; for they were the best He ever planted.” Well, only less than 5% of these fantastic American forests are left today. Sadly, it is not just the American forests that have disappeared in such huge proportions but the forests all over the world are disappearing at an alarming speed.

The largest excuse or justification to cut down these mighty forests has always been the “greater excellent for the mankind”. Ironically, the greater excellent for mankind, be it the urbanization, industrial pulp or commercial logging, is not really as beneficial to the mankind as touted by its proponents. A 1995 U.S. Forests Service study showed that there are many more rural jobs and more income opportunities when the forests are preserved. This is also reflected in the many opinion polls where 70% to 80% Americans have consistently voiced their desire to save the national forests from commercial logging and urbanization. Americans of all ages, cultural backgrounds and walks of life have expressed their preference for the spiritual, social and environmental values of the forests over the commercial & dollar values of this natural resource. Recently, there had been a small uproar of frustration and dismay by many members of the Co-Op America Business Network, over the loss of a tree grove that was cut down in an East Coast city to make room for a commercial parking lot.

Every day, people in business forums on the internet talk about their desires to save trees, woods and natural groves marked for urbanization. If you take a trip to Yosemite National Park, Huge Tree Park in California or any of the many national forests in any part of the country, you will be filled with awe and inspiration evoked by the grandeur of the nature and the domain given to mankind over Earth’s natural creations. When visiting Yosemite national park, often times, this writer is left in awe and filled with humbleness as to how mankind has been given stewardship of the mighty nature, its land, its trees and sparkling waters to ensure the ecological process of the planet Earth. Woods whether these are groves of trees or range of larger forests systems provide an array of natural services from cleaning the water, purifying the air, metabolizing the Carbon Dioxide to releasing breathable Oxygen. Our national forests play a vital role in reducing global warming. From providing natural habitat to animal and plant species to enhancing rainfall on one hand and restraining land erosion by water on the other hand.

There are many high profile environmental groups and non profit organizations that are engaged in efforts of preserving American national forests and protecting forests in other parts of the world. One such group that is slowly but steadily raising the public awareness about environmental issues is relatively lesser known but very much committed to the sustainability goals. This group is comprised of a new breed of entrepreneurs dedicated to “eco fashion”, renewable and natural products. Many of these businesses use recycled packaging that in turn helps reduce the use of new corrugated boxes thereby saving the trees. Although this is a long shot but every small bit of effort helps. Some of these “green businesses” are also introducing the use of organic cotton, bamboo, hemp, jute, and other fabrics in their clothing designs. These sources of natural and rayon fibers are considered earth friendly as they offer many benefits for the soil they are harvested on as well as for the surrounding environment. Some of these so-called green businesses are offering incentives of “tree dedications” to their customers and encouraging the consumers to indirectly participate in the forests preservation process.

All in all this segment of businesses dealing in natural products and natural & eco fashion clothing is doing a fantastic job of making and raising public awareness about one of the most cherished & valuable natural resource- forests. This is very encouraging indeed as the consumers can use their spending power to influence more businesses to adopt green practices and eventually our world as well as all living being on the planet can benefit from a sustainable life style. I will attempt to discuss further as to how by supporting some of the consumer products we all can participate in preservation of America’s national forests and wildlife habitats around the world.

Natural Perfumes

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

Natural perfumes are perfumes made from natural extracts from plants, trees, leaves and other. The natural extracts that are turned into essential oils work hand in hand to make a wonderful scent that will make you feel pleased, unpredictable, cool, and confident.

When you use natural perfumes, it combines with your body chemistry to make the fragrance compatible to your style. There are several advantages to using natural perfumes.

The natural perfumes do not usually contain a lot of chemicals and synthetic ingredients, as long as the perfume is made with natural essential oils and not synthetic oils. Each essential oil has a special affect on the body.

For example, Lavender is a natural stress reducer and has a calming affect. When you wear lavender you may not feel as stressed and nervous when you go out.

The natural perfumes that you buy have a longer shelf life and do not need harmful chemicals to preserve them. There are over 90 different essential oils and each one has several different ways that it can help the body.

For an example, Lavender not only provides a calming affect but it also help the body in several other ways, including helping the skin recover from burns. When you use natural perfumes you can help your body in several different ways.

You can buy natural perfumes online or at a health food store. Large chain stores may offer natural perfumes but they may be made with synthetic ingredients to meet the supply and demand.

Signature Fragrances

You may have seen them advertised on television, in a magazine or on a website. These fragrances usually feature a well-known person advertising them or making them. These signature fragrances are fantastic for any mood that you are in.

Fragrances sold in the signature series are usually priced expensive. A signature perfume is one that you wear continuously without changing fragrances.

There are several reasons why someone would choose to wear the same fragrance without trying new ones. Basically it is because they are comfortable in that fragrance.

That specific perfume gives them the confidence they need to get through their day. It makes them feel strong, individual and can allow them to feel proud.

Signature fragrances are fantastic as long as the perfume is being produced. A lot of times, when you find something that you really like, they quit making it. Then you are left searching for another fragrance that may be similar to the signature fragrance.

With signature fragrances, the chance that the scent will go terrible decreases the more you use it. So if you have a signature fragrance you are probably going to use it everyday, even if you don’t go out of the house.

Putting on your make up and perfume can make you feel fantastic. To choose a signature fragrance, you will have to do some testing. Go to a store that provides a wide variety of perfumes to choose from. You will be able to choose a fragrance that is right for you.

Selecting A Perfume

There are hundreds of perfumes to choose from and they are priced anywhere from a few dollars to a hundred dollars or more. With so many choices, how do you know which ones are right for you?

There are a few guidelines that can help you choose which perfume is right for you. First you will need to find out which type of perfume will fit you the best.

Look at the ingredients on the bottle before you buy. You need to analyze what type of scent you want to get out of perfume; a light musk, natural scent, loud fragrance, floral scent, warm scent, bright cheerful scent, and more.

Your body chemistry might play a roll in your selection as well. Sometime what smells fantastic on one person may not smell as excellent on another.

Perfumes that are natural tend smell warm and soft, such as Rose or Lavender. Musk can produce a light fragrance that lingers softly around you. It is not too strong and may be pleasant to smell.

There are stronger scents that you may like and that is fine too. If you don’t like a loud smell but you like the perfume, try using a minimal amount or spray your clothing instead of your body.

The material helps to absorb the fragrance leaving a lighter version to smell. Choosing the right perfume for you may take some time. Stop and smell different fragrances to find the right one for you. Once you find one you like, it will be worth all your time and effort.

Perfumes For Small Girls

Your small girl probably watches you spray on perfume wanting to be just like you. If she likes to try perfumes on, give her a small spray on the wrist.

Depending on the age she is, there are several different perfumes available for young ladies to use. Allowing them to use things such as perfume or makeup can encourage them to take care of themselves.

Watching you can help them establish fantastic personal hygiene and attention to themselves.

Small girl’s skin may be sensitive to different perfumes. The perfume line for small girls uses a lighter formula when making the perfume. This allows the scent to be weaker and the ingredients to be less potent. Teach her how much perfume she should use at one time instead of letting her spray it all over.

Finding perfumes may be simple to do, depending on what character she likes at the time. Perfumes are made using character perfume bottles to attract your small girl’s attention.

Once you buy the perfume, allow her to spray it on her wrist only. Make sure she sprays it only on her wrist for at least two to three days. This will give you time to see if she will have an allergic reaction to it. If she don’t than she will be okay with it.

It’s not a excellent thought to allow them to spray perfume all over their body and find out later that they are allergic to it. The skin is sensitive and it’s better to be cautious.

Buying Perfume Online

Everyone wants to smell fantastic. It makes you feel better about yourself when you can add some perfume on your body before you step out the door.

Perfume is a confidence booster and can make you feel like you can take on the world. There are several ways to buy perfume; drive to the store, buy online or buy from a private dealer.

When you buy from a private dealer, they may make their own perfumes with a unique combination that goes fantastic with your body chemistry.

Buying from a private dealer may cost more but if they sell the fragrance that you want, you will pay extra for it.

Buying from a store usually means that you re buying perfume that have been made in large amounts in order to distribute it to enough stores.

The store buys a large quantity of perfume at one time, which can reduce the price per bottle of perfume, giving you a discount on your perfume.

Then you have the option of buying perfume online. When you buy online you can shop from home and your favorite fragrance delivered right to your door.

You can take your time to find the right perfume for you. Buying online has never been simpler or better for you.

As with anything, you need to be careful how you buy your perfume. If you don’t use the perfume often you may want to make sure that it only contains natural essential oils so it will have a longer shelf life.

Numerous effective, safe, natural weight loss systems are around that give sound diet and exercise advice and perhaps also give recommendations on natural weight loss aids. All of the excellent programs (and for that matter, even some of the terrible ones) have their share of supporters and successful weight loss tales. But if there are excellent weight loss systems out there, what causes so many people to fail in their attempts to lose weight? How is it that some people get dramatic success in losing weight, yet the majority of others using the plot just can’t seem to make it work?

The main difference is whether or not the person follows-through on the program. It doesn’t matter how effective a weight loss program may be if you don’t follow-through on it for the long-term. Many who start a natural weight loss plot will start with high levels of motivation, but most lose focus quickly and cannot stay motivated for more than a couple of weeks and can’t seem to stick to the plot.

So what happens? Why does someone who has finally convinced him or herself that now is the time and they are going to do whatever it takes to lose weight and nothing is going to get in the way of accomplishing their weight loss goals, lose their motivation so quickly?

Really, a lot of things can happen. Temptations arise. Other people can interfere. They run out of time and/or energy to eat right and exercise. Or, maybe they simply lose sight of the reasons they chose to try to lose weight in the first place.

One key to staying focused is to frequently reckon about your weight loss goals and what losing weight will mean to you. Most people don’t just choose they want to lose weight. There’s nearly always some underlying motivation to try lose weight. Maybe it’s because they’re worried about their health. Maybe it’s because they can’t find clothes they like that fit them. Maybe it’s because they want to find a romantic partner and reckon that it will be simpler if they look better. Perhaps they have grown tired of the stout jokes and people talking about their weight problems. There are probably as many reasons for wanting to lose weight as there are people who want to lose weight. The more clear you can get as to your real motivating factors to lose weight, the greater your chances are to stay motivated, floow-through, and be successful.

By focusing on the reason you want to lose weight on a consistent basis, you will tend to stay more motivated. I recommend writing down your underlying reason(s) for wanting to lose weight, but writing it in a way that it will boost your motivation. The most effective way for most people is to write yourself a negative to avoid and the associated positive to go after. For example, if you want to wear nice clothes, but you have a lot of difficulty finding clothes you want to wear in your size, you could write something along the lines of, “I am highly motivated to do the things necessary to lose my excess weight so that I will not be restricted to wearing large-size clothing.”. I am thrilled to be getting my weight to where I can wear stylish, sexy clothes!”

Once you have your written motivation statement(s), place it someplace you’ll see it several times per day. Make sure to stop an read it each time you see it and really take the time to reckon about what you are reading – don’t just read the words, FEEL them!

As was discussed earlier, there are a lot of things that can get you off-track from your weight loss program, and there are many techniques for dealing with each of these influences. By figuring out what really motivates you to lose weight, and then making sure to remind yourself of your motivating factor(s) frequently, you’ll be better equipped to handle ALL of the interfering factors that might tend to prevent you from following-through. Natural weight loss is within your reach if you can get your mind working with you to achieve your goals!

I am very sorry to hear your baby has psoriasis. You are probably looking for an effective baby psoriasis treatment, just as any excellent parent in your circumstance would be.Naturally, you want your pediatrician to see your baby, and that is always your first step. Discuss some of the natural baby psoriasis treatments you want to try.Natural treatments?  Yes. Remember, you are not alone! Thousands of others who have infants and small children with psoriasis have had fantastic success with natural baby psoriasis treatments.  They can be done right at home without any apprehension about side effects..To start with, when your baby has a flare-up, apply cool compresses to the effected area. You can steep a soft towel in cold water, squeeze it out, and softly apply it to the effected area to cool it down and add moisture to the skin.Right after you remove the compress, apply a non-allergenic, non-scented moisturizer to your baby’s skin to seal in the dampness from the compress as part of your baby psoriasis treatment.Your baby will also feel relief when he gets a nice lukewarm bath. Remember – never use hot water which dries the skin. Question your physician about how often to bathe your baby. Some pediatricians say once a day, some say every other day. Use a fragrance free mild soap. Keep the bath of small duration and don’t use soap until the very end of the bath. This will stop your baby from sitting in soapy water which can dry out his skin.Dry your baby by lightly patting him with a soft, absorbent towel. Do not rub hard. Rubbing hard is not only uncomfortable for your baby, but you also want to leave some moisture on his skin even after you have patted him dry. While your baby is still slightly wet, apply a no-aroma moisturizer. This moisturizer will not allow the dampness on his skin to escape, which will help prevent his skin from drying out.Moisturizers should be used several times a day as part of your natural baby psoriasis treatment. Remember I said earlier that they were essential, and they are!Try to dress your baby in natural fabrics such as cotton. Do not overdress him! You do not want your baby to become hot and sticky.  You want his skin to stay cool and be able to breathe.Crib sheets should also permit his skin to breathe. The best sheets are all cotton and are kept unsoiled, soft and dry.To prevent your baby from scratching his skin, place small socks over his hands, particularly when he sleeps. Also keep his nails trimmed — fingernails and toenails!Your baby’s clothing and his bedding should be laundered in a gentle detergent that has no added scents or fragrances. The same is right if you use a fabric softener.I am so sorry that your baby has psoriasis. This skin condition no doubt makes your baby very prickly and I know that it’s grueling for any parent to watch their child suffer. You will be pleased to know, but, that very successful natural home cures are available to help your baby. Thousands of parents have seen psoriasis flare-ups completely vanish from their babies!  I am sure you will find the same thing right for your baby, too!

10 Steps to More Natural Skin Care

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

The beauty & skin care industry is a huge multi-billion dollar industry. We are bombarded with ads that tell us these companies have succeeded in making beauty in a bottle. Their profits are realized by selling products to you, the consumer. These products are “supposed” to make us look more youthful, give us softer looking skin, hide our imperfections, and give us downright supermodel status!

The truth is these products are full of chemical ingredients that can do more harm to us than excellent. While I can see the importance of proper skincare, it seems to me that looking younger is just not worth the risks associated with the use of skincare products containing carcinogenic chemicals. For gorgeous skin AND excellent health, start from the inside and rediscover natural skincare products.

The skin is your largest organ. It really should be treated with care. If you really care about the health of your skin, you want to work on beauty from the inside out. Commit to educating yourself, and start taking small steps toward going natural. Start by slowly replacing your conventional over-the-counter products with their more natural counterparts that use wholesome ingredients. These skin loving ingredients will make a dramatic difference in your beauty routine. Nothing is more youthful than healthy, gorgeous skin! You will be shocked at the skin that wholesome skin care will reveal! Here are some simple ways to go natural:

1. Keep your skin healthy from the inside with a healthy diet, containing healthy “fats,” like avocados, olive oil and nuts. TRUST me, these healthy fats in moderation will NOT make you stout, but they will nourish your skin. Drink plenty of water to flush your body of toxins and impurities. “Dull” skin will come alive with the introduction of this one life change! Water is an internal shower for your body, so make sure to drink eight to ten glasses every day.

2. Use natural oils and butters that won’t clog pores. The skin likes natural oils like olive, coconut, jojoba and sweet almond oils, and butters like cocoa, avocado, shea and mango butters. They are very close to the skins own oils (especially olive), and contain no harmful by products.

3. Use coconut oil as a moisturizer for your driest spots like lips, heels and elbows.

4. Skip washing your hair everyday as shampoo can be very drying to your hair, scalp and skin. When you do wash your hair, consider using shampoo bars made with natural ingredients and healthy oils.

5. To remove make-up, apply a small amount of olive oil and wipe with a soft, dry cloth. The dry cloth will gently exfoliate the skin, while the olive oil will leave your skin feeling soft as a baby’s bottom! Microfiber cloths are particularly nice for cleansing the face. BE GENTLE!

6. Use a natural sea sponge to apply a natural facial toner. There are NUMEROUS facial toner recipes on the internet. A quick google search should suffice, if you’re ready to courageous your creative side in the kitchen! (See #7)

7. Try your hand at making your own skin care products with simple ingredients like salt, sugar, oatmeal, milk, honey, olive, coconut and avocado oils. These ingredients can be cost effective and they are OH! SO excellent for your skin! An added benefit is you’ll know exactly what you’re putting on your skin, and can make custom blends that suit your skins needs.

8. Dry brush your body to exfoliate your skin and slough off dead skin cells. This practice is centuries ancient and is still used by many today.

9. When purchasing products, carefully read marks and buy only those products with recognizable ingredients, without parabens or artificial fragrances. (Learn more about harmful Parabens at the Fullearths, etc. Blog )

10. Get some sun every day. Your skin needs sunlight for optimum health. Be wise and don’t overdo it! Staying out too long can be damaging to your skin, so strike a balance and wear protective clothes and a huge sun hat to avoid chemical sunscreens.

Like your skin!

Top Three Natural Cleaners

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Using natural cleaners, instead of their toxic and chemical based counterparts, certainly has a lot more benefits whether small-term or long term. These cleaners are safe, gentle, readily available and really inexpensive. You may hear many alternatives that are simple to use, and here we listed the top three when it comes removing stains and bleaching.
Borax can be used as a bleaching substitute. Mix one quarter cup of borax and two cups of water and you can have a cleaner substitute.
Borax can be used as a toilet bowl cleanser. You can pour one quarter cup into your toilet bowl and this will help clean and deodorize the item.
Scrub it to help loosen dirt and let it stand there for a time, maybe an hour or overnight then you can just simply flush when you are finished.
In removing mildew, you can combine 1part vinegar, 1part borax and 2 parts water. Mix all the ingredients in the area you want to clean and let stand for at least 10 minutes and scrub vigorously with a brush or clean damp cloth. If traces of mildew is still present, repeat the process again.
As disinfectant, borax is useful too. Combine one gallon of hot water with ½ cup of borax.
Let cool and when ready, strain it and pour in a clear spray bottle. Borax has natural properties that allows it to kill molds and bacteria effectively.
Blood stains can also be removed by using borax. Mix 2 cups of water with 1quart of borax and rinse stained cloth in lukewarm water and scrub in warm water with your hands.
Salt can be use as a gentle stain remover. This can work well with mild stains such as perspiration marks on clothing by soaking the clothes in salt water for 2 hours or overnight depending on the strength of the fabric. As fabric softener, salt can be effective too. While washing , you can place one cup of salt and this will help soften clothes and new jeans which tends to be really rough at first.
For the stains inside coffee or teapot, prepare 1 cup of crushed ice, 1 tbsp water and 4tsp of salt, mixed together and pour in the teapot. Slowly swirl until clean. Rinse after the process.
As a pot cleaner, you can sprinkle the surface of the pan with minimal rock salt and rub it into the stain until it completely disappears.
Vinegar can be used as a leather polisher. Wipe your leather with a damped piece of clear cloth continuously until the leather is shiny again.
Vinegar as a natural cleaner for your windows. Mix 1 cup vinegar with 2 gallons of hot water and place it in a clear spray bottle when warm. Spray to onto windows and mirror for effective cleaning. To use vinegar as coffee stain remover, mix 1tsp of white vinegar in 1quart of cold water and place the mixture on the affected area and wipe with cloth to remove the dirt.

Not many people know the advantages of using natural cleaning products to help them with their cleaning tasks. Learn all the information you need to know about organic cleaning products.
